Tape_Measure – the former iTapeMeasure

This app transformes your gadget into a endless tape measure.

You start by putting your iPhone in an upright position on the left side of – let‘s say a table. Then you turn your phone 90 degrees to the right. Go on and rotate it until you have reached the end. For fine-adjustment use the slider or shift the yellow scale.

Tape_Measure uses the length and the height of the iPhone to measure the covered distance. That means you have to rotate your iPhone until you have reached the endpoint.

As there are different kinds of measuring needs we developed several ways to use this tool: eg. you can lock the ruler with one finger and move the iPhone instead.

The accurancy is +- 1 mm after 1 meter.

AutoGs gives one a simplified display of the G forces involved with driving an automobile. To work correctly your IPhone/iPod must be placed flat on a level surface inside your auto with the top of the device pointing to the road ahead of the vehicle. Make sure the device cannot slide around. The device is in the correct position when the Gravity reading is at 1.00± and the forward, backward, left and right arrows are not visible. Instantaneous G readings for lateral and forward/reverse acceleration are shown in white, while arrows indicate the direction of the force. The maximum G force reached for acceleration, deceleration, and left and right turns are displayed in yellow. The maximum values can be reset at any time by pressing the MaxReset button.
